The Technology
The Difference
-
Visuals
Visual learning is a powerful tool in any profession, and hockey is no exception. In the past, it was challenging to provide players with effective hockey visuals, but now, technology has made it easier than ever. Players can effortlessly navigate through their recorded clips and see, from a new perspective, exactly where they can improve.
Coaches and scouts at all levels rely on film not only to evaluate potential players but also to deepen their own understanding of the game. With the right visuals, you can elevate your hockey IQ and performance to the next level.
-
Comparison
With the latest technology, I can place your clips side by side with examples from the NHL. This allows us to pinpoint exactly what NHL players do differently to perform at such a high level. Seeing these comparisons firsthand provides invaluable insights to help you elevate your game.
-
Knowledge
With over 10 years of elite hockey experience, I see the game from a perspective that goes beyond the average player's understanding. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of playing with and against some of the best players and coaches in the world, giving me access to knowledge at the highest levels of hockey.
My goal is to make these tools and insights accessible to players at all levels. As one of my former coaches used to say, “I’m telling you what I wish someone had told me when I was younger.”
-
Longevity
Most team coaches focus on teaching skills that align with their specific style of play, which is great for short-term success and winning games. However, in hockey, it's rare to have the same coach for more than a few years. My goal as a skills coach is to develop you consistently, year after year, regardless of your team or coach.
I'll work with you to improve different aspects of your game and provide a reliable source for any questions you might not feel comfortable asking your coach.
-
Individualized
During a season, a coach has over 20 players to watch and develop, all while focusing on winning games. This makes individualized skill development challenging. My focus is on your growth as a player, not just your team’s success.
I’ll provide unbiased instruction, teaching you the skills necessary to become a more effective player consistently. With personalized drills and advice tailored specifically to you, we’ll work together to elevate your game.
-
Mentoring
The path through AAA, Juniors, and eventually college or professional hockey can be incredibly confusing. Knowing which camps or tryouts to attend and understanding how to acquire an agent can make or break a player’s career. Drawing from my own experience navigating these different levels, I can offer advice and guidance to help you understand how it all works. Let me help you manage the overwhelming aspects of the hockey world, so you can focus on your development and success.
